After a two year absence, Oregon farmers and producers will again be able to claim a tax credit for food donations to hunger relief groups around the state. Today the Oregon House of Representatives unanimously endorsed SB 1541, which comes on the heels of a unanimous vote by the Senate on February 14. Governor Kitzhaber is expected to sign the bill.

Oregon Food Bank announces today the featured lineup at its 27th annual Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union on July 3 - 6, 2014. Headlining artists Gregg Allman, Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, Maceo Parker, Lee Fields & the Expressions and John Nemeth & The Bo-Keys join more than 100 blues acts on four stages over the July 4th weekend event to benefit Oregon Food Bank's mission of fighting hunger and its root causes.

With an ambitious goal of 600,000 pounds the KGW Great Food Drive kicked off its 10th year on March 1. Along with Tillamook Cheese, U.S. Bank, participating Toyota dealers and participating Fred Meyer stores, KGW will collect food and cash donations to support the Oregon Food Bank Network.
Turn all or part of your tax refund into food for hungry families. It's easy to do. To designate Oregon Food Bank as the recipient, simply enter code 25 on line 66a of the Charitable Checkoff Donations section in Form 40 (Line 84a on Form 40N or 40P).
