OFB works with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families. We fight hunger's root causes through public policy advocacy, nutrition and garden education and work to strengthen community food systems.

Oregon Food Bank Board of Directors elects officers, welcomes new members

The Oregon Food Bank Board of Directors elected the following to serve as officers for 2015 and 2016: Josh Hinerfeld of Cambium Strategy as board chair; Karen Shartman, VP & CFO of Kaiser Permanente NW as vice chair; John Attey, VP and General Counsel with Cambia Health Solutions as board secretary; and Arnie Gardner, also reelected to another term on the board and formerly of Nike, as board treasurer.

Thank YOU for your service on MLK Day

MLK Day of Service at Oregon Food Bank, sponsored by Bank of America, was a record-breaking volunteer day!

On January 19, 680 people volunteered their day off to help repack nearly 118,000 pounds of food at both Portland and Beaverton locations. Our previous record was in 2013 with 616 volunteers.
