Former Oregon Food Bank CEO Rachel Bristol is among 10 people honored as a “Champion of Change” by the White House. The honor is being given to individuals that are examples of how national service creates pathways to economic and employment opportunities.
“I am thrilled that my friend Rachel has earned this incredibly well-deserved ‘Champions of Change’ honor for her decades of service fighting the scourge of hunger in Oregon,” said Sen. Ron Wyden. “Her work beginning in the 1980s with VISTA and then her groundbreaking accomplishments with the Oregon Food Bank add up to a lifetime of making our state an even better place to be for all Oregonians.”
