Oregon Food Bank works to eliminate hunger and its root causes through long-term, public policy solutions at the local, state and federal levels.

Because hunger is an income issue, OFB advocates for policies that promote:

  • Economic opportunity,
  • health and well-being
  • and community participation.

Oregon Hunger Response Day

Oregon Hunger Response Day a huge success!

On April 18, 120 food bankers from throughout Oregon converged on the state Capitol in Salem for Oregon Hunger Response Day. Food Bank clients wrote more than 1,000 messages on paper plates asking elected officials to make food a priority. Food bank leaders delivered the messages throughout the day, meeting with 76 state legislators and their staff members to gain support for OFB's legislative agenda. Many, many thanks to all participants for making this day so successful! Learn more.
