Oregon Food Bank is alerting recipients of food through the Oregon Food Bank Network and associated partner agencies, pantries and community kitchens of a voluntary recall of peanut butter and almond butter due to a potential Salmonella contamination.
The recall, in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), includes products with BEST BY dates of July 21, 2015 or earlier.
Food recipients should check their shelves for the following packages:
Pint size jars of peanut butter and almond butter with a white label listing ingredients and stating “distributed by Oregon Food Bank.”
To protect yourself do not eat any of the products listed above with BEST BY dates of July 21, 2015 or earlier. Affected products should be safely disposed of immediately.
