  • RECALL ALERT: Italian Beans (frozen)

    July 16, 2015

Oregon Food Bank is alerting recipients of food through the Oregon Food Bank Network and associated partner agencies, pantries and community kitchens of a voluntary recall of frozen Italian beans.

Food recipients should check their freezers for the packages of Italian beans with a white label and stating “distributed by Oregon Food Bank.” (see image below)

To protect yourself, do not eat any of this product. Affected bags should be safely disposed of immediately. A single test result by a third party indicated the presence of Listeria monocytogenes which can be fatal. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Collette's Story

    June 2, 2015
“Hard times can happen to anybody. Anybody. I don’t care who you are, how you think your life is set and on track and you’re on the right path, things happen. Trees come falling down and you’re going to have to find a different road to walk.” – Collette | OFB's Voices project
  • Corporate Donor of the Month Ford

    June 1, 2015

Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford Dealerships have partnered with the Oregon Food Bank Network to focus on child hunger. Keeping kids active is important to their health but so is providing them with healthy food. Thousands of kids don’t get proper nutrition which hinders development and learning. Ford Motor Company Fund is helping to change that with a $100,000 donation to Oregon Food Bank.

As part of their commitment, Ford auto dealers are also participating in the Ford Peanut Butter Drive – collecting peanut butter at dealerships throughout Oregon and Clark County, Washington from June 5-13.
