About Us

Our mission: To eliminate hunger and its root causes ... because no one should be hungry.

Oregon Food Bank collects and distributes food through a network of four Oregon Food Bank branches and 17 independent regional food banks serving Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Along with approximately 970 partner agencies, we help nearly one in five households fend off hunger. We work to address the root causes of hunger by offering nutrition education, strengthening local food systems, collaborating with community groups, and advocating for hunger relief at the local and federal level.

Oregon Food Bank's Flow of Food

Through partnerships with our food and fund donors, and the strategic infrastructure of our distribution systems, OFB quickly and efficiently moves critically needed food and resources throughout our region.

Flow of Food

We're effective and efficient. More than 93 cents of every dollar donated to Oregon Food Bank goes directly to fighting hunger.

We're fair and equitable. Oregon Food Bank distributes food donations throughout the Oregon and Clark County, Wash., based on an allocation system that takes each area's population and poverty statistics into account.

We're innovative. OFB's Fresh Alliance program provides nutritious, perishable food, like meat, milk and dairy, to people who are hungry statewide. Since its inception, the program has kept 16-million pounds of food from being wasted and has become a national model.

We're part of a national network. Oregon Food Bank is a member of Feeding America's national food bank network.

We're proud to be a member of the community. We couldn't do the work we do without tremendous support from donors, volunteers and corporate partners. Thank you!
