K-12 School Groups

Step three: Learn more and sign up.

Teach your students about service and hunger in Oregon by bringing your class to OFB! Volunteering builds compassion, self-esteem, and teamwork. Student volunteers work together to repackage bulk food donations, from apples to oats, into family size portions. This food then stocks the shelves of food pantries, meal sites, and other hunger-relief agencies.

**We are excited to announce we have launched a new volunteer system that will make signing up for volunteer shifts easier than ever before!

Why we think you'll like it:

  • Live Calendar: Color coordinated and easy to read, you can check the number of available spots real-time (so you know there's room for your youth and chaperones, AND any other of your friends or family)
  • Personal Profile: It will be easy to check shifts you’ve scheduled, look at your history, and check volunteer hours!
  • Immediate sign up: No more waiting! Once you sign up you'll receive an automatic confirmation.
  • And more! It will be easy to create a roster of those attending, and you will be able to revise anytime. The new system will allow for scheduling 4 months in advance, and there will be more shift options available.
