Food repack
Help us repack bulk food donations into ready-to-use, family-sized portions. Shifts are normally two or three hours long and must be scheduled during pre-set times. Sign up and see our shift schedule on our court mandated application form. We run food-repack shifts six days a week, depending on the location, that includes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings and Saturdays during the day.
Court Mandated Program Policies
- We will not be able to accommodate you in our volunteer program if you've been charged with act of violence, harassment, sexual misconduct or identity theft. We also do not accept offences related to the possession or distribution of cocaine, heroin or methamphetamines.
- Only register for shifts that you will attend. If you miss more than 3 shifts, you will no longer be able to participate in the program.
- Confirming your hours is your responsibility. Be sure to sign in at the beginning of each shift and have the Volunteer Coordinator verify your hours and sign off at the end of each shift.
- It's your responsibility to let us know once you have completed your mandated hours. At least 48 hours’ notice is necessary for us to process the paperwork.
- Keep in mind that shifts may end early if we run out of food to repack or sort and we are only able to provide credit for actual hours worked.
- Initially, you can only register for 3 shifts. After you establish a good attendance record, you are free to sign up for additional shifts.
