Volunteers and Social Media

Support Oregon Food Bank on Social Media

We appreciate your volunteer support - the work we do together in the community is not possible without you. You can help others learn about our mission and about volunteer opportunities by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube and LinkedIn, and sharing anything that resonates with you about helping those who are hungry in our community. Invite your friends and family to support OFB as well, online and by volunteering with you!

OFB Volunteer Community on Facebook

Our Volunteer Community Facebook Group is open to anyone who has ever volunteered with us. As a member of this group, you can stay in touch with other volunteers, informally organize groups and carpools, network, and make new friends. We love to see the camaraderie that develops during a volunteer shift, and this is a great opportunity to stay connected beyond your shift!

Check out the volunteer group on Facebook and if you know any other volunteers, share the link with them and encourage them to join the community!

The #OFBHelpie

Oregon Food Bank has made a commitment to increase the total amount of produce distributed, from 10 million pounds to 15 million pounds in the next 5 years. To accomplish this ambitious goal, we needs the help of more volunteers! As a volunteer, you can help spread the word and encourage others to volunteer by sharing an #OFBhelpie!

A "helpie" is a selfie taken while volunteering, giving back, or helping someone, to help increase awareness about a cause and the ways ways others can help, too. You can see #OFBHelpie photos on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Can’t wait to see your #OFBHelpies!

We encourage our volunteer community to add the hashtag #OFBHelpie when posting photos from a volunteer shifts.
