Job title: Child Hunger Program Coordinator

Who we are looking for:

 

The Child Hunger Program Coordinator (CHPC) implements Oregon Food Bank’s (OFB) school pantry program, which provides food assistance to families with children through three models – onsite food pantries that maintain regular open hours within the schools, a monthly food distribution that takes place in the school gym or cafeteria, or regular produce distributions held at schools or in conjunction with summer feeding sites. The CHPC works closely with partner organizations, school staff and school district administration to ensure consistent implementation of program standards and to expand the program to new schools.

The Oregon Food Bank seeks a creative and effective Program Manager to oversee and direct the development and implementation of community food distribution programs, including mobile pantries, produce distribution programs, child hunger programs, and other supplemental food programs. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and evaluation of all programs resulting in a vibrant and thriving network of programs to support our neighbors in need. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our program priorities and recommending new programs and directions as needed to address underserved communities and populations.

This position is located at our Beaverton office with regular travel to our NE Portland branch or and occasional travel to other network facilities around the state.

Job title: Warehouse Worker

Who we are looking for:

A successful Warehouse Workers follows established inventory and material handling procedures to receive and distribute food and other products using a warehouse management system, called Primarius, and hand held computers, called Symbols. This position works closely with the all Warehouse Workers, the Inventory Team, the Transportation Team, the Volunteer Action Center and local agency representatives. This position requires an understanding of food warehousing and requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), and Feeding America.

This position is located at our NE Portland warehouse with the ability to travel to the Beaverton warehouse. The work schedule is primarily 1:30pm to 10:30pm, but may vary and may include work on evenings, weekends, and holidays due to business need related to timely and accurate warehousing and distribution of product.
