We're effective and efficient

Did you know...

• For every $10 you donate, you enable Oregon Food Bank to move 50 pounds of food through our network, providing enough food to fill an emergency food box. A typical emergency food box provides three-to-five days of food for a family of four.
• For our recently completed fiscal year, less than 5 percent of our expenses went to fundraising and administrative costs. Examine our Financial Statement.
• We thank our fabulous volunteers for helping make us so efficient. Last year, volunteers in our Portland and Hillsboro facilities contributed more than 93,000 hours valued at $1.5 million. That equals 45 full-time employees. We couldn't do our work without our volunteers!
• During our first year in our new Meyer Memorial Trust Oregon Food Bank Building, we distributed 34-million pounds of food — nine million more pounds than the previous year. That was possible because of our efficient building.
