Ching to receive national award for volunteer work at OFB “Through my work as a nurse case manager at Kaiser Permanente, I’ve learned that hunger isn’t merely uncomfortable for children, it’s dangerous,” Ching says. “It can jeopardize a child’s health and development, impeding readiness for school and future productivity. Thousands of people in Oregon – including children – go to bed hungry many nights. I want my volunteer work to help change that.”
