What do we know about hunger?

Summary: This activity will allow students to share what they learned at OFB.

Time: 15 to 20 minutes

Age: Elementary school to adult

Materials: One can of food

Preparation: None

Group size: Five to 20

Procedure:

1. Have volunteers stand in a circle. Give one of the group members a can of food.

2. Tell the person holding the can that he or she should say something he or she learned about hunger. Then have the person pass the can to another member of the group. That person will repeat the process. Make sure that each person names something different that they know about hunger.

3. Once everyone says what they learned, pass the can around the circle again and have each person name their favorite thing about volunteering at OFB.
