Host Nutrition Education classes for your clients
OFB offers Nutrition Education classes to organizations serving low-income community members. Classes are scheduled in partnership with organizations that recruit participants. OFB does not place individuals in classes or take direct registration. Classes must be
scheduled in advance.
Most courses are taught at OFB's teaching kitchen, 7900 N.E. 33rd Drive in Portland. Classes may also be held off site at organizations with kitchen facilities. OFB's Nutrition Education program coordinator must conduct a site visit to ensure that off-site facilities meet safety and teaching standards.
Use our income guidelines to determine if your clients meet our program requirements.

To host a 6-week class series, please complete and return the Partner Agency Application linked above. Receipt of an application does not guarantee that a class will be scheduled. There is frequently a waiting list of agencies hoping to host classes for their clients. We will do the best we can to schedule classes in a timely manner.
Class series are scheduled based on the following schedule:
-
In November for classes running between January and March
-
In February for classes running between April and June
-
In May for class series running between July and September
- In August for classes running between October and December
New classes are rarely added mid-term. Mid-term inquiries are considered for future terms. Agency coordinators are welcome and encouraged to observe class sessions at any time to learn more about the program.
