Hear the voices of low-income Oregonians
We're committed to informed advocacy. So we began the Voices project six years to hear the voices of low-income Oregonians and include them in the discussion about who is hungry and what we need to do to end hunger.
Every year we coordinate conversations with emergency food-pantry clients around the state to learn what's happening in their communities and to hear their ideas.
We share the results with Oregon Food Bank, regional food banks, local agencies, elected officials, state agencies and the general public to inform others about hunger and food insecurity in Oregon.
Listening to our fellow Oregoniansthose who receive emergency food and live with the ramifications of hunger and povertymakes us more successful in eliminating the root causes of hunger.
