Danny brings nearly a decade and a half of experience fighting hunger in the Oregon Food Bank Network. The son of an Oregonian and a South American immigrant, Danny brings an equity centered bi-cultural perspective to our work.
Prior to coming to Oregon Food Bank Danny served several years as the Executive Director of the Linnton Community Center. Since joining the team at Oregon Food Bank in 2016 he has held several roles: first, supporting food distribution partners to build capacity in Clackamas County, then as the Statewide Network Compliance Manager where he led his team through a number of innovations to our food safety and civil rights programs. As Associate Director in the Partnerships and Programs Department, he led transformational adjustments in the distribution of USDA Commodities. This extensive understanding of our network of partners is instrumental to his current role as the Director of Operations.
Thanks, in part, to the Andy and Nancy Bryant Fellowship, Danny earned an MBA from the University of Portland, graduating with Betta Gamma Sigma Honors.
Danny lives in Southeast Portland with his wife Julia Koven and their daughter Molly. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing drums, skiing and mountain biking.
