Moira Bowman – Director of Advocacy

Moira joined Oregon Food Bank in September 2018 to lead our advocacy and volunteer teams.

Moira has lived in Oregon for 31 years. She has had the opportunity to work in support of justice and equity at the local, state and national level. Most recently, she served as Deputy Director for Forward Together, a national organization working to change policy and culture so that all families can thrive. During this time, Moira supervised the development of a year round civic engagement program that engaged thousands low-income families and families of color in building political power. Prior to Forward Together, Moira led gender justice and dismantling racism projects at Western States Center.

Moira lives with her partner Diane and sweet dog Scotty Randall in NE Portland. She spends her time reading and growing vegetables in her garden.
