After working for a variety of social service organizations, Starr Farris Yurkewycz found her home at Oregon Food Bank in 2003. She provides strategic direction and oversight to our Partnerships and Programs department. She has been deeply involved with the food bank, previously guiding our volunteer teams, overseeing our branch programs and leading efforts to end hunger with our partners across the state.
With a passion for social justice and systemic change, Starr’s focus is on supporting communities to implement integrated solutions to hunger and poverty, designed with people at the center.
Starr received her bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Sustainable Agriculture. She also holds a Master’s in Public Administration.
Starr is a podcast enthusiast and loves to explore the outdoors with her two small children and her energetic dog.
