CORPORATE DONOR OF THE MONTH: The Standard

SEPTEMBER 2017 – We are pleased to recognize The Standard as our Corporate Donor of the Month.

“At The Standard, caring about people is a core value of our business and our commitment to the community. Our employees reflect this value by giving to organizations, like Oregon Food Bank, that are committed to creating strong and vibrant neighborhoods, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. The company matches that commitment dollar-for-dollar because we believe we can make a real difference in the communities we call home.”

– Bob Speltz, Senior Director, Public Affairs, The Standard

The Standard illustrates its commitment to fight food insecurity by engaging both employees and the community. Employees consistently volunteer with Oregon Food Bank, contributing a total of 320 hours last year alone. We thrive on critical support from our volunteers who make an immediate impact on fighting hunger in our region. Additionally, The Standard holds their Volunteer Expo annually for employees and as an opportunity to engage community members with Oregon Food Bank.

Furthering their support, The Standard employees regularly hold food and fund drives, as well as contribute through employee giving. Last year, coupled with The Standard and Meiji Yasuda’s match, employees raised over $79,000 to help eliminate hunger. The Standard’s impact is felt throughout our community and we are inspired by your tremendous support.

Thank you to The Standard and its employees for all you do to help feed the human spirit!
