Business Thrives When People Are Nourished: BBPDX & Oregon Food Bank Event
September 29 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm| free
September is Hunger Action Month. In partnership with Oregon Food Bank, Business for a Better Portland (BBPDX) welcomes our members, partners, and supporters to learn about the ways our two organizations are addressing the root causes of hunger.
BBPDX will share what it means for values-aligned businesses to pool their social and political capital to go beyond the safety net and address core community issues of housing & homelessness, equitable transportation, and economic opportunity.
Oregon Food Bank will share their strategies that include civic engagement opportunities to eliminate the root causes of hunger.
To eliminate hunger in Oregon, we must tackle the policies that drive hunger and poverty. Learn more about the issues and how you can join Oregon Food Bank in this effort. Together, the Portland business community can #VoteOutHunger and ensure all our communities emerge stronger. Speakers from Oregon Food Bank: Moira Bowman, Director of Advocacy; and Yan Medice, Corporate and Community Relations Assistant Manager.
