Focusing on child hunger

May 8, 2018 – Ford Motor Company Foundation continues to help children in Oregon and Clark County, Washington get enough quality food. Through the Focus on Child Hunger campaign Oregon Food Bank received a $110,000 grant to purchase pantry staples like beans, rice, pasta and oats. These foods will allow families to prepare nutritious meals that suit their dietary and cultural preferences.

“Children cannot learn if they’re hungry,” says Larry Gregerson of Ford Motor Company Fund. “Ford Fund supports child hunger programs so that every child has a chance to learn, grow and realize their potential.”

From May 5 to 14, Ford dealers around the state also collect and donate peanut butter for their local food banks through the 5th annual Ford Peanut Butter Drive. Additionally, Ford invites Portland Timbers fans to bring peanut butter to Providence Park for the May 13 match.

Thank you Ford Motor Company for your efforts to improve the lives of kids and their families.
