On Oregon Hunger Response Day, regional food banks, partner agencies, people experiencing hunger, and supporters of the Oregon Food Bank Network will gather together in the state Capitol to share information and stories about hunger with our state legislators. We want you to come along to help educate our legislators about hunger in your area and encourage them to increase their commitment to end hunger and its root causes.

This all-day event in Salem and will include:

  • Networking with food banks and partner agencies from across the state
  • Visits to legislative offices to advocate for the Oregon Food Bank Network’s legislative agenda (small groups led by trained team leaders)
  • Speakers and trainings
  • State Capitol tours
  • Complimentary lunch

Why should you consider participating on April 13?

The story of the realities facing Oregonians who access services available through the Oregon Food Bank Network need to be voiced to our state legislators so they keep anti-hunger policies a priority. Your direct experience can impact our lawmakers during legislative visits throughout the day. Additionally, Oregon Hunger Response Day is a great opportunity to connect to the larger statewide Oregon Food Bank Network and to learn more about advocacy.

Event registration is closed. Thanks for your interest in Oregon Food Bank Advocacy. Please email Amy at awatts@oregonfoodbank.org to learn about other ways you can get involved.
