Oregon Food Bank is the hub of a network of 935 hunger-relief agencies throughout Oregon and Clark County Washington.

We work with a cooperative network of regional food banks, partner agencies and programs to distribute emergency food to hungry families. In addition, we are working to fight hunger's root causes through public policy, outreach and education.

It's been 17 years since Sharon needed an emergency food box to feed her family. Back then, she was a single mother, working in production and trying to recover from a back injury.

Now, she's married, and her husband has a good job as a machinist in the graphite industry. They've been able to stay on solid financial ground, until recently, when the economic recession hit, and her husband's hours were cut.

"WeCanEndThis" Drive earns OFB 121,000 meals from Tyson Foods

In Oregon, 1,983 people committed to do their part to end hunger in America as part of WeCanEndThis.com’s digital can drive contest. As a result, Tyson Foods donated more than 30,000 pounds of much-needed protein to Oregon Food Bank.

OFB launches community portion of OFB West capital campaign

Two major donations helped Oregon Food Bank kick off the community portion of its capital campaign for OFB West. The Spirit Mountain Community Fund donated $50,000 to the campaign at OFB's board meeting on June 30. Kathleen Tom, tribal council secretary of the Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde, blessed the new building. In addition, Leslie Garcia of the Oregon Community Foundation presented a $75,000 check to support the campaign.

Paul Allen celebrates 20th anniversary of family foundation with grant to OFB

Philanthropist Paul G. Allen commemorated 20 years of philanthropy by announcing special grants totaling $100,000 awarded to founders of notable nonprofit organizations in the Pacific Northwest, including Oregon Food Bank.
