Seed to Supper garden program fosters healing [VIDEO]

October 30, 2018 – Matthieu is a Seed to Supper Ambassador at Central City Garden. “For us [the garden] is healing—a kind of healing process. While gardening, we are happy to do something.”

The Seed to Supper Ambassador Program is designed to empower community leaders with the tools and skills needed to teach their communities how to grow a low-cost vegetable garden in Oregon. Our goal at Oregon Food Bank is to tailor our current Seed to Supper curriculum to meet the needs of each community, specifically the immigrant and refugee communities within the Tri-county metro area. We believe this unique educational approach has the potential to further enhance all anti-hunger services currently provided, as well as strengthen community ties.
