Oregon Food Banks endorses Yes for Affordable Homes

November 2, 2016 – Still working on filling out your election ballot? If you aren’t finished yet and you live in Portland, we hope you will join us by voting yes on Measure 26-179.

When Oregon Food Bank talks with clients across the Metro area, the number one concern we hear is housing availability and affordability. Lack of affordable housing is one of the root causes of hunger.

You have the opportunity to be part of a campaign that will create 1,300 permanently affordable homes for the Portland area. We know this isn’t the only solution to our housing crisis and that much more is needed, but it is a step in the right direction.

This election season, vote yes on Measure 26-179 to help families with children, seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans.
