Inside the Network: Oregon Food Bank Headquarters

860,000 people in Oregon and Southwest Washington access food from one of the 1,400 food sites that are associated with the Oregon Food Bank network!

Take a look at the statewide headquarters for Oregon Food Bank. The headquarters also act as the statewide warehouse and the regional food bank for Multnomah and Clackamas counties. Food comes in by the truckload and gets split 21 ways. We are unique in that we are statewide and are organized as a network. Our network is very collaborative and has focused on local leadership for over 40 years.

“It’s really incredible to be connected to the community in this way. Food is a universal language.”
– Anna Walter, Food Relief Coordinator

“Having the ability to be part of Oregon Food Bank community means giving back to the community. I see that Oregon Food Bank helps a lot of people, especially providing food to the communities of color.”
– Ner Moo, Garden Ambassador

“When I was growing up I had a lot of friends personally who got food from Oregon Food Bank. It’s an organization that actually has actionable results and helps a lot of people.”
– Collin Wong, Volunteer

“I used to think that we could solve this problem with enough food. And now I know that’s not the fundamental problem because, on the day when we distributed enough food, we’ll have to do the same thing the next day and the next day and the next day. We’re working on the root causes of hunger so that we are not just about getting people food today, but we’re about putting ourselves out of business and creating a world in which hunger never happens.”
Susannah Morgan, CEO Oregon Food Bank
