PRESS RELEASE: The Great Gorge Melt Grilled Cheese for a Cause

The Dalles, OR — This March, satisfy your cravings and support a worthy cause with Columbia Gorge Food Bank’s first annual Great Gorge Melt! Participating restaurants in Hood River, Wasco and Sherman Counties are teaming up to offer delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Columbia Gorge Food Bank to aid hunger relief efforts throughout the Gorge.

The Great Gorge Melt presents a unique opportunity for community members to make a difference simply by enjoying a tasty meal. By purchasing a grilled cheese at any of the participating restaurants throughout the month of March, diners will be directly contributing to the fight against hunger in their local area.

“We believe in the power of food to bring people together and make a positive impact,” said Leah Hall, Community Philanthropy Manager for the Columbia Gorge Food Bank. “With every grilled cheese sold, we are helping to provide vital support to individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.”

The Columbia Gorge Food Bank, a cornerstone of hunger relief supporting over 40 partners in The Gorge, will benefit from the proceeds raised during The Great Gorge Melt.

By supporting this initiative, community members are helping to ensure that their neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
