Corporate Donor of the Month: Pacific Power Corp

September 2021 – Oregon Food Bank is delighted to honor Pacific Power as our September 2021 Corporate Donor of the Month.

Over the past year, Pacific Power quickly and generously responded to the need for food assistance in the wake of COVID-19. Pacific Power awarded Oregon Food Bank for $50,000 pandemic relief, which supported our rapid response efforts.

Oregon communities are stronger and more resilient because of Oregon Food Bank, its many volunteers and the critical services it provides. Pacific Power is honored to support their crucial work to lift up our communities, especially the most vulnerable, and all Oregonians.

– Etta Lockey, VP Regulation and Customer and Community Solutions

Pacific Power not only supports Oregon Food Bank, but through their PacifiCorp Foundation awarded $1 million to nonprofit organizations last year and most recently in May of this year awarded grants to supports our friends at Society of St. Vincent De Paul – Portland Council, Clatsop Community Action, and Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon to name a few.

Employees have demonstrated their philanthropic support for Oregon Food Bank through employee giving as well as generously contributing thousands of hours of volunteer service in Oregon Food Bank’s NE Portland and Beaverton location sorting and repacking nutritious foods. In addition, during Oregon Food Bank ninth MLK Day of Service in January 2020, Pacific Power served as a supporting sponsor for the event.

Thank you to Pacific Power and its employees for two decades of helping to eliminate hunger and its root causes.
