Partner Spotlight: Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger

Since 1997, Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger (OLAH) has raised over $3.5 million to support hunger relief efforts through the Oregon Food Bank Network. The fight to end hunger is strengthened through the generosity of Oregon’s legal community and the shared belief that no one should be hungry.

Every November the legal community comes together to raise awareness of hunger and its impacts in our communities through their annual virtual fundraiser event. Law firms across Oregon create online team donation pages, match employee gifts, provide grant funding and dedicate staff volunteer hours.

Community Cultivators Award

OLAH is Oregon Food Bank's October 2023 Community Cultivator. They have been honored for their dedication to ending hunger and its root causes for 26 years. Through this partnership, OLAH has raised significant resources every year and has rallied a strong network of individuals in the legal community to take action toward food justice. The OLAH Board is entirely volunteer-run and led by dedicated lawyers passionate about ending hunger and its root causes. Oregon Food Bank is so grateful for the incredible work OLAH does to both raise awareness of hunger in our communities and provide ways for the legal community to get involved and make a difference.
