Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger: A Legacy of Community Support and Action

Since 1997, Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger (OLAH) has raised over $3.5 million to support hunger relief efforts through the Oregon Food Bank Network. Oregon's legal community powers this effort to end hunger through generosity and a shared belief that no one should be hungry.

Every fall, Oregon’s legal community comes together for the Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger annual fundraiser, raising money to support hunger relief and food access through the Oregon Food Bank Network.. Law firms across Oregon participate by creating online fundraising pages, matching employee gifts, providing grants and dedicating volunteer hours to support communities experiencing hunger Through this partnership, OLAH has consistently raised significant funds and mobilized a strong network of legal professionals to advance food justice.

Oregon’s legal community is taking action against hunger

The OLAH Board is entirely volunteer-run and made up of dedicated lawyers committed to ending hunger and addressing its root causes. Oregon Food Bank appreciates OLAH's tremendous work in raising awareness about hunger and offering ways for the legal community to get involved and make a difference.

This year, OLAH is more determined than ever to address the rising need in Oregon.

In just two years, visits to the Oregon Food Bank Network rose 51%, reaching a record 2.9 million visits last year. The rising costs of food, rent and housing continue to put pressure on families across Oregon and Southwest Washington. We are seeing record numbers of visits.
