Western Treasure Valley Food System Partnership Celebrates a Successful Night of Music, Community Spirit and Giving
Ontario, OR. — The Western Treasure Valley Food System Partnership is grateful for everyone who participated in the Karaoke for a Cause community fundraiser, an evening dedicated to celebration, community and strengthening local food security.
Held to support Oregon Food Bank Southeast Oregon Services and the future Ontario Community Food Center, this event brought together residents from across the region in a holiday karaoke showdown. Community members nominated local leaders, business owners and neighbors to take the stage, creating a fun, memorable showcase of talent and generosity.
“I love everything you’re doing to support community by encouraging community and addressing food insecurity in one event. I’m looking forward to the next one!” said Elizabeth Hill, an attendee.
This year’s impact was amplified by the support of an anonymous donor who matched every dollar, making the over $2,800 raised go twice as far in supporting programs that expand access to nourishing food and bolster the regional food system.
Fundraising teams representing several key community organizations added friendly competition to the night’s festivities. Participants included:
City of Ontario
Mrs. Ohh's Cookie Co.
Ontario Grocery Outlet
Plaza Inn Restaurant
Snake River Pediatrics
The Western Treasure Valley Food System Partnership extends gratitude to all performers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and attendees who helped make the evening a success. There’s still time to donate to the future Ontario Community Food Center at OregonFoodBank.org/Karaoke.
