August 2026 Community Cultivator: Lineage Logistics

Oregon Food Bank is proud to recognize Lineage Logistics as our August 2026 Community Cultivator.

Lineage Logistics is a warehousing network offering temperature-controlled facilities in Oregon and globally. As a logistics partner of Oregon Food Bank, Lineage Logistics supports our operations and food sourcing through their network and connections.

Local food producers often use Lineage facilities to store frozen or perishable products before they are sold. Through their Customer Product Donation Program, the Lineage Foundation for Good donates unsold products to Oregon Food Bank. In addition, the team at Lineage can directly connect us with new contacts who have donations available.

Working with Oregon Food Bank to facilitate food donations has been really easy. Their team is great to work with, and when donations become available from Lineage’s customers, they make the process smooth and help get food to the people who need it most. It's rewarding to know we're helping reduce food waste while giving back to our local community.

During a time of historically high hunger, these donations are especially valuable – but product expiration dates can make the logistics of perishable food donations difficult. Lineage Logistics helps Oregon Food Bank take advantage of all opportunities available to us by working quickly and efficiently to arrange pickups, an operations puzzle that takes specialized knowledge to solve.

And our partnership is only growing. This year, the Lineage Foundation for Good awarded $10,000 to Oregon Food Bank to support our mission to end hunger and its root causes. And they launched their new Chain Reaction Program, which allows us to capitalize on their expertise around operations, maintenance, engineering and more through their skilled volunteer program.

This award represents a testament to the long-standing partnership between Lineage’s customers, Oregon Food Bank, our great local teams here in Oregon as well as the legacy of former owners the Henningsen family, as we continue to work to help feed our communities,” said Chad Freeman, Lineage Vice President of Business Development and Lineage Foundation for Good Chief Development Officer. “We are so proud to be part of this great community, and look forward to working together for many years to come.”

As a logistics partner, matchmaker and financial donor, Lineage Logistics is a valuable part of food bank operations.

Thank you, Lineage Logistics, for your ongoing support and partnership!
